In what could be seen as the countrys first, doctors in India can now connect, and collaborate with each other through a mobile app. Curofy, the app, offers doctors a spam-free and secure environment to communicate with each other.
Among the main features of the app, doctors can provide referrals, share cases, call other doctors without saving numbers and have access to most recent, speciality-wise developments taking place in the fields of medicine, surgery and dentistry, thus providing them a platform for collaborative learning.
Another main feature of the app is its content sharing module, through which doctors can share cases, trending health and fitness news and discussion topics with other doctors from their specialty, hospital, city etc. This helps other doctors to view latest medical news and cases, which are relevant for them.
The app is aimed to lessen the dependency of private practice physicians on the doctors of corporate hospitals for expert advice. With the help this app the small town doctors will now be able to communicate with the experts worldwide to discuss special cases

As per the company, over 3500 doctors, including super-specialists from premium hospitals like Medanta, Apollo, Max and Saket City and physicians from 50 cities, are using the app and actively using it amongst themselves; mostly for, finding other doctors in their speciality, locating old alumni and sharing cases.
The app has been co-founded by three ex-IIT Delhi students. The app is launched with an aim to create a doctor-only network first-time ever in India.
