New Intel HD Graphics Test Driver version 15 40 0 64 for Windows 10 64 bit only


New test driver for Windows 10 (64-bit only) version 15.40.0.64.

Inf version 10.18.15.4174 - Dated 03/18/2015

It supports Intel Iris, Intel Iris Pro and Intel HD graphics on:
  • 6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family (codename Skylake) (Desktop/Mobile)
  • 5th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor Platform (codename Broadwell)
  • Intel(R) Core(TM) M Processor Platform
  • 4th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor Platform (codename Haswell)
  • 4th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor U Series based Platform (codename Haswell)
  • Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor 3000/G3000 Series
  • Intel(R) Celeron(R) Processor 2000 Series: the following Desktop and Mobile platforms,

Being a test driver, it is not WHQL signed.

Originally can only be installed on Windows 10, but you can try it on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 by editing igdlh64.inf and making the following changes:


Search for:

%Intel%   = IntelGfx, NTamd64.6.1, NTamd64.6.2, NTamd64.6.3, NTamd64.6.4

Replace by:
%Intel%   = IntelGfx, NTamd64.6


Comment the following lines by adding a comma at the beginning of every line:
;[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.1]
;[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.2]
;[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.3]


And finally, change the following line:
[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6.4]

to
[IntelGfx.NTamd64.6]


Save and install.

Note 1: On Windows 7, you need the Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929 to be previously installed for the kernel driver to be loaded as it is signed with a 256-bit certificate.

Note 2: On Windows 8/8.1, you need to Disable driver signature enforcement for the driver to be installed. Once installed restart Windows and youre done.

Note 3: Try it at your own risk, this is originally meant for OEMs.
